Roya Chagnon
Research Associate
Roya Chagnon is a Master’s of Architecture student at UCLA. Originally from San Diego, she holds bachelor’s degrees from UC Berkeley in Urban Studies and American Studies. Her undergraduate thesis explored the intersections of gender, design, and history in urban geography. Prior to starting at UCLA, Roya worked as a planner for the City of Oakland's Department of Transportation, where her work focused on community-driven planning for safer streets. Her research interests include urban design, Californian cultural landscapes, and historic preservation.
