Katherine Taylor-Hasty
Urban Humanities Fellow 2021-22
Katherine Taylor-Hasty is a graduate student in the PhD program at UCLA AUD. She attended Williams College for her undergraduate degree and graduated with a B.A. in anthropology. She attained her M.S. in Historic Preservation at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, where she wrote her thesis on the reinterpretation of Confederate monuments. Her research interests include preservation, monuments, monuments to difficult histories, and the intersection between history, politics, architecture and preservation.
